Yesterday was quite eventful. I had my day-long soccer tournament that was hosted by my school and some other local campuses to create the largest soccer tournament in southern Michigan.
Me and the team kicked off the day, bright and early at 9. Though it was a surprisingly warm day because of the gorgeous and comfortable morning sun, there was still frost on the turf so it was like running on pavement. PX But once the sun began to warm up the rubber, it was back to its bouncy goodness in no time.
We tied our game at 1 to 1 and then headed inside for the pancake breakfast, which turned out to be a huge success. There were so many people, it was insane. XD I hung out with some girls from the team for a bit, then Trisha and I went outside again to the press box where my dad announces for the games and her dad keeps time on the clock.
After a bit, I went back home and watched parts of the Battle Royale movie on YouTube (which is sweet, let me tell you). Japanese movies are awesome and I have no idea why I don't watch them more often. The book is more gorey and disturbing, but the movie is still pretty good for an adaptation of a manga series. ^_^
Then I went back to the field for the University of Michigan vs. Michigan State game. It amazes me, however, that we got two elite teams to actually come to our high school and play each other. I have no idea how we pulled it off, but we did. And we got some huge donations from the hundreds of spectators we got. The stands haven't been filled like that since Powderpuff. ^_^
Being the UofM fan that I am, I was bummed that they got crushed. Like, horribly crushed. 5 - nill. Eeks. I could see all the gaps in their game though, and so could State so they took advantage. There was nearly a fight so many times, I was just waiting for fists to fly and the hairpulling to ensue. Sadly... we didn't see much other than a few pushes, but it was still entertaining. That game really did help our boosters club though, so kudos to them.
Then I went back home for a bit, snagged a quick bite, Battle Royale, then I was off to play my last game of the day. (Our mid-day one got canceled because another team was added to the tournament so we gave that game to them.) We tied that one nill all but it was still a good game. I got into an argument with the ref about a call that was clearly not right (because I was a party involved), but let it go because it was no use arguing with him... I still schooled the girl though. XD Beat her in a foot race any day.

Today I went over to my grandma's and spent some time just talking with her. Joe (Hank) and I looked through a few photo albums then a few Irish books. It was just a good day to sit and do nothing. ^_^ My grandma's been feeling really lonely ever since Papa died, so we try to spend as much time with her as we can.
Hank retold the story of when he jumped down the stairs and somehow hit his head on the ceiling to clothesline himself and fall back to the stairs. The he told us about how my youngest brother Mike shot him in the head this morning with his aerosoft rifle. Now he's got this welt on his temple because it was at such a close range.
I swear, this kid is a menace. Personally, I think boot camp is the way to go. If Mike had been an inch off, Hank would have lost his eye, no joke. But instead, Mike laughed at him and said with a grin, "I didn't know it was loaded."
Famous last words.
Well, now I'm off to watch some BSG because Mike's annoying me to get off the computer. Remind me to smack him when I log off...
Captain Lee "Apollo" Adama here I come... MM! Love him. *shimmies away*
